Salmon Fly Fishing Tackle Hire in Speyside
We are able to provide full salmon fly fishing tackle and chest waders hire for all of our clients if required. Whether you are joining us for a guided salmon fishing day or a session of Spey casting tuition, there is no need to bring your own gear.
I am often asked about this by guests travelling long distances, especially those coming by plane, who would rather not carry rods, reels and waders halfway around the world. Arrive with your clothing and your enthusiasm, and we will have everything else ready on the riverbank.

Tackle Matched to the Water
After more than 40 years guiding on these rivers, I know what works where. The right rod, line and fly make a real difference to how well you cast and how effectively you fish the pool, so the tackle we provide is set up for the beat and conditions on the day. If you are new to Spey casting, it also means you start with balanced, reliable gear that makes learning far easier.
Bringing Some of Your Own Kit

Who Hires Tackle and How It Is Charged
Tackle hire is optional and charged separately, on a daily basis. Many of my regular guests bring their own gear, so hire is mainly used by beginners and by clients travelling from overseas who would rather not haul rods and waders with them.
How to Arrange Tackle Hire
